This Code of Conduct applies to all publishers operating as sub-network within the Daisycon affiliate network. It is relevant for publishers with a media type registered as "Subnetworks", "Media purchasing: display networks" and/or those delegating their promotional activities to third parties functioning as sub-publishers. The purpose of this code is to ensure transparency in the use of sub-media and to guarantee compliance with the terms and conditions of advertisers' campaigns. Adherence to this Code of Conduct is mandatory at all times.
*All media with type ¨Subnetworks¨ are placed under our soft cookie policy.
1. Adherence with Guidelines
- All sub-networks must comply with this Code of Conduct. Any sub-network unable to meet the requirements must communicate the estimated timeframe for compliance. This information will be shared with connected advertisers.
- If a sub-network remains non-compliant, this will also be communicated to the participating advertisers.
- If the behavior is or remains in conflict with the Daisycon Publisher Terms & Conditions, exclusion from the network may follow.
2. Responsibilities
To operate as a sub-network within Daisycon, sub-networks must confirm their adherence to the following:
- Daisycon Publisher Terms & Conditions.
- Daisycon Codes of Conduct for:
- Specific campaign terms and restrictions set by the advertiser/campaign.
Sub-networks are responsible for all actions and omissions of their sub-publishers. They must proactively ensure adherence to advertiser-imposed restrictions and campaign terms and only deliver traffic from approved sources. In case of doubt, sub-networks must consult the advertiser.
3. Onboarding and Quality Control
- Sub-networks are responsible for verifying sub-publishers when they join their network and before payments are made.
- Sub-networks must monitor and proactively improve traffic quality, including verifying legitimate traffic, optimizing low conversion rates for high traffic volumes, and limiting traffic from countries where the campaign is not active.
Sub-Relationships: Sub-networks are not permitted to engage other sub-networks for campaign promotion without explicit permission.
Daisycon may periodically request any specific publishers to be blacklisted.
4. Transparency of Sub-networks and sub-publishers
As a sub-network within Daisycon, you are obligated to provide transparency about which traffic source was used. This must be available at the URL level of the promotion or placement.
- Preferably, we want to receive the click-referrer with traffic. If this is not possible, the referrer must at least be sent via a SubID in your tracking links.
- In addition, Daisycon, or the advertiser themselves, should have access to a dashboard where activity and traffic sources are directly visible.
Daisycon will handle this data confidentially and will not approach the sub-publishers directly to attempt to enter into a direct collaboration.
5. Media Buying
Sub-networks must ensure transparency when purchasing media via platforms like DSPs (Demand-Side Platforms). For example, transparency can be demonstrated by sharing a placement report, such as what Display and Video 360 offers.
We strictly prohibit media buying from sources that are low-quality, non-transparent, or fraudulent. This includes any platforms or networks that use bot activity or aggressive monetisation tactics like pop-up/under. Furthermore, it is forbidden to purchase inventory from sites that contain adult, illegal streaming, or gambling content.
6. Technology, Software, and Plugin Media
- Users must always consciously click to visit an advertiser’s website. Browser extensions, software, or toolbars must not force clicks or use automatic redirects.
- No cookies should be placed without explicit user action.
- Applications must not mislead users or interfere with their browsing experience, search results, or device behavior.
Conclusion
This Code of Conduct for Sub-Networks provides clear guidelines to ensure the quality, transparency, and integrity of collaborations between Daisycon, sub-networks, and advertisers. By adhering to this code, sub-networks contribute to a reliable and responsible affiliate ecosystem that fosters optimal collaboration between advertisers and publishers. Transparency regarding traffic sources, strict quality control, and responsible use of media purchasing and technology are essential. Daisycon trusts that sub-networks will take their responsibilities seriously and actively uphold these standards.
