With the Marketplace, publishers are able to promote prepared packages (media kits) to advertisers. Access to this tool is restricted to selected publishers. Publisher deals (offers) can be booked directly by advertisers, allowing them to boost their campaign without delay, without hassle and all within their own account. Stand out from the competition and make it clear what makes you the better publisher choice. You can choose to propose general offers, available to all advertisers, or specific offers dedicated to a campaign.
Marketplace dashboard
The marketplace dashboard displays all different marketplace order statuses. These statuses include; Order awaiting approval, order accepted, order confirmed, order declined and order delivered. When clicking on a specific order status, you will be redirected to the marketplace order overview with the specific status filtered.
From the dashboard you can also manage your media kits. When you have uploaded a (new) media kit you can easily add new offers.
The process to add new marketplace offers in steps
- Open the menu: Marketplace
- Add/Upload an offer and of course your media deck (1 media deck per media to prevent different and outdated media kits). Offers can be linked to annual events like Black Friday / Cyber Monday or Valentine's Day. Of course, we inform advertisers by email when an offer is dedicated. You also receive an email in case an advertiser requests your offer.
- Your offer will be checked by Daisycon first. When checked by Daisycon the offer is approved and becomes visible to all advertisers or the specific campaign that you chose. This does not mean your offer is accepted by the advertiser.
- The advertiser will check the offer, select a delivery date and give their final approval.
- As publisher you will have to check if the offer is still available on that date and send a confirmation. The deal is now made. To make it easy for you, a transaction will be automatically added to your account. This transaction will be approved instantly.
- When you delivered the order you have to put in some proof of delivery, for example, a screenshot of the placement. Make sure the advertiser is happy. If you keep them happy, they're more likely to keep booking with you.
Tip: Make sure you make one-to-one (dedicated) offers for a specific campaign. Propose individual deals with an offer that cannot be refused.
Important to know: advertisers can also request an offer based on an existing offer. It's easy to start communication and built a partnership.
Extra information on how to set up your offer
Version 2 of the Marketplace has improved the way you can set up your offers. You can now add a lot more information, as well as images to showcase your placements even better.
General information
In this section, you can decide for which media you want to create your offer, and whether it’s a network-wide, or a dedicated one. Select an event like Black Friday or Summer Sales, if that’s applicable.
The offer type shows the advertiser what kind of offer they’re looking at, e.g. Sponsored Articles or Emailings.
Give your offer a good title that stands out, as well as an overall description. Then upload at least 2 images. We recommend one promotional image, which will be the “thumbnail” of your offer in the advertiser’s dashboard. Additionally, we recommend uploading at least one screenshot of the placement itself, so advertisers can see what they can expect. You can upload one additional image.
Note: when you’re uploading dedicated offers, the imagery is not mandatory.
Packages
In this section you can define the different packages that you want to offer, e.g. for your Content Special, or your Christmas Campaign. You can add up to 4 different packages, rename them and add specific pricings. For each variant of your offer, you can add its own description.
Furthermore, you can add attributes to your different offer, e.g. if your Standard Sponsored Article contains the article and a push on Social media, but the Basic Sponsored Article doesn’t.
Metrics
In the next section, you need to add your target audience, as well as your reach. Additionally, you can upload more metrics, like your guaranteed ad impressions, the CTR that you expect and the Conversion Rate of your placements. These are optional. However, we recommend filling in as much information as possible, because it enables advertisers to judge better whether your offer fits their needs.
Preview
After filling in your metrics, you’ll get to see a preview of your offer. It will show you how the offer will be displayed on the advertiser’s side. If you need to make any adjustments, you can go back and change your offer.
Save & Publish
If the preview looks good, you can move forward to the next section. Here you decide the period in which you want the offer to be available.
If you make the offer available from a date in the future, it will still be visible on the advertiser side. However, they will only be able to request bookings within the time frame that you have specified.
The amount of delivery days determines how many days in advance the advertiser must request a booking. If you need 7 days for creating content before getting it published, you can set this metric to 7. If you can publish a placement the same day as it was booked, you can set this value to 0. The offer will become invisible on the advertiser dashboard, if the amount of delivery days is bigger than the amount of days left for the offer to run.
Copying offers for ease of use
If you have set up an offer for e.g. your Summer Sales, and you want to offer the same packages (or just slightly different ones) for your Back 2 School period, you can easily copy your current offer into a new one.
- Open your current offer
- Click on “Copy to new offer” in the upper right hand corner
- Upload new images
- Check whether the details are correct and change if necessary
- Publish with correct / new dates
